Mrs.Meyers helps clean up the cookeez!

Milk and Cookeez was recently given the pleasure of reviewing the Mrs. Meyers line of natural laundry products.

If you are a frequent reader of the blog, you already know how I feel about laundry.
(If you haven't been here before, to say the least, I am NOT a fan.)

However, my attitude has changed! Yes I am a convert!

Mrs. Meyers in her infinite wisdom has created the most soothing, and calming laundry line imaginable. I received their lavender laundry detergent, their lavender fabric softener, and their lavender dryer sheets.
My house now smells as fragrant as a lavender field, no exaggeration!
How awesome is it that you get an all natural laundry product, clean clothes, and a home fragrance all in a load of laundry.
I am an enormous Mrs. Meyers fan, I found the company 2 years ago when I was visiting Minneapolis Minnesota and am so glad the products are now sold in groceries across the USA.
Here is the the product info from the Mrs. Meyers Company:
Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lavender Dryer Sheets reduce static, soften and add a bit of garden-freshness. Our dryer sheets contain a vegetable-derived softening agent and natural essential oils on a new biodegradable paper sheet.

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lavender Fabric Softener reduces static, makes ironing easier and softening clothing and linens. Contains softening ingredients from plant-derived sources, cotton extract, and natural essential oils for garden fresh fragrance. Earth-friendly, biodegradable formula.

Mrs. Meyer’s Clean Day Lavender Laundry Detergent liquid is one of our hardest working cleaners. Concentrated, safe and gentle on clothes - yet it really packs a punch when it comes to removing dirt and grime. Contains Anionic Surfactants from plant-derived sources, Cotton Extract, Borax, dirt and stain-fighting enzymes, and, of course, those important natural essential oils for a garden-fresh fragrance. Earth-friendly & HE compatible. Newly concentrated for 64 loads.

I adore the Laundry detergent, other than the natural fragrance and ingredients I can understand, it is an HE detergent. My husband lovingly (and with hope for clean clothes) bought me a top of the line washing machine and dryer when we moved into our first house. Now I do love that thing, but it is finicky-it prefers HE detergent. I however, don't like buying "detergent" especially knowing the chemicals that I am exporting into the Earth. So imagine my giddiness when I found out that I can have the best of both worlds, natural and HE.
I am also smitten with the dryer sheets, as stated by the Mrs Meyers website, they are made from a biodegradable paper sheet! Awesome! After using them I love the way they shrivel up a bit and stay like a loose paper ball. The husband will no longer go on a business trip wearing a fabric softener in his pant leg (or his sleeve, hehehe).
The liquid fabric softener made my clothes soft and cozy. The jeans were soft and pliable coming out of the washer and that never happens here.
I highly recommend that you try Mrs. Meyers products today.
They offer 6 fragrances, including a fragrance free line, and if I haven't sold you on laundry, try their other great cleaning and home products, including their newest product, soap (which I am going to have to get!)
Check out http://www.mrsmeyers.com/ today for all of their great products and while you are there, sign up for their newsletter, they always include great updates and discounts.
As Mrs. Meyers would say, let's get cleaning!

Lookee what I found! jdavissquared

I found the most adorable shop on Etsy. Since I'm in the midst of redoing (well the hub is) my work area and office, I decided I wanted a chalkboard-so I went to ETSY-where else? I found this:

The shop is called jdavissquared, they are a "husband & wife duo who loves creating things".
You can tell by the products that they make that this team is creative and fun.
It's a sock kitty-look at those sweet button eyes, longing for a cozy bed.

I may have found this cute shop searching chalkboard, but was tickled to find that they have a card that uses my email tagline:
Don't you just love that they used a cupcake liner on the card-how sweet!
Get on over to jdavissquared on ETSY today,
your sure to find something cute and entirely original!

I'm thinking Tastykakes, yum!

I must be having bakery withdrawal.
While we were on vacation I was able to get my fill of Tastykakes.
These yummy morsels are a childhood favorite of mine. For those of you not from the Pa/ NE USA, these cupcakes and other baked goods are sold in grocery shops, convenience stops and even online http://www.tastykake.com/.

You might be thinking-uhhhh convenience shops-ewwww, but let me stop you, these cakes, krimpets, pies, and kandy cakes are delicious!
They are moist and cakey!
I had my last Tastykake pie on Wednesday, now I'm out and I'm having withdrawal!

There aren't too many things I crave in life, lobster w/ butter, and a fresh Peppermint Patty, but Tastykakes, take the cake for me.
Below are some images to let you know why I love these yummy morsels:

The Cream filled-Chocolate Cupcakes w/Buttercream frosting are my absolute favorite!
These cupcakes are the best cupcakes that can be purchased packaged. They rival bakery cupcakes in their moistness and the cream inside is not too sweet or sugar grainy-it's creamy and delish. The great part about these are that they are now in OHIO, Yeah!!! I can't always get them, but when I do, I stock up-they freeze great too.

The Peach Pie is another favorite, but this is a Pa thing, I haven't seen them in Ohio yet.

If you visit
http://www.tastykake.com/ they have a whole bunch of gift ideas. I'm buying my hubby this ornament for Christmas, he loves the Kandy Kakes.
I want this Tshirt! It's sooo me and so are the treats that come in the gift pack it's only $39.99.

Check out http://www.tastykake.com/ for your next get together-you can buy krimpets by the case, and cupcakes by the cartful and you don't have to leave home to do it!
I hope you enjoyed virtual cupcakes this morning-now buy the real thing-you won't regret it, unless you eat the whole box-which I would never do, and I have never-ever hid the box from my children or husband, that is just wrong!
Ps-This is not a paid review-I'm just having a real craving and decided to torture myself!

Es-CA-Pay!

"Today's the day, today's the day, the sun is shining, the birds, are singing, the tank is clean..." ~Peach, Finding Nemo.

Well that isn't true, but we are getting outta here! However, the sun is not shining, and the tank is certainly not clean, but we're leaving it!

After the past 2 weeks of emotional turmoil, we are going to mooch, ahem, visit the families in Pa. It should be fun, we do lots of eating, drinking, and amuse the kids with our favorite kid things-we'll be going to Kneobels Grove, Steamtown, The Mall (where all the cool kids hang out.) and just trash the grandparents house. The kids will also get to see cousins that they didn't know that they had, and Aunts and Uncles that earned the name because we love them-not because they are related.

It will be relaxing, and away from the stress of home.

Hey, look."Es-CA-pay". I wonder what that means? That's funny, it's spelled just like the word "escape."~ Dory

NOTE: Why does this post have quotes from Nemo? Because silly that is the only movie that Rooney watches on the DVD in the car-I've heard it at least, really, 50 times-I can quote it!

Look what I found!

I'm going to try and find something every week that you might just be the slight bit interested in.

Today I found this great Etsy site that sells "tablescapes" made from your printer & paper.
It's all in PDF format so you can customize your party products to the exact amount. NO having 6 extra something and never using them again.
It also helps that these products are ADORABLE!

Check out Paperandcake on Etsy.

Do you like this cute sampling of goodies-then head on over and see what else they've got to offer.
